Favorite Verse?
Isaiah 53: 4-5 is my favorite Bible verse. “Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”
What can they look forward to when they join your class?
My students can look forward to a collaborative and inclusive learning environment when they join my class! We will work together to examine, analyze, and interpret history from the lenses of historians!
What’s unique and interesting about your class?
I think what is unique and interesting about my class is the way we will be comparing and contrasting historical events with our present day lives. History won’t seem so far away when making these sorts of comparisons.
How is your class different from what they experienced last year?
This class is different from what students have experienced in past classes because they will be challenged to pinpoint the various ways that history has impacted the way they live today. Students will be able to utilize technology, like Chromebooks, to research and take on accurate perspectives of historical peoples.
Message to Parents
I would like to thank all of you parents for entrusting Our Lady of Guadalupe with your children. It has been such a blessing and a privilege to teach and support your children inside and outside of the classroom. I felt called to join the OLG community because of their emphasis on faith and education. Each day that I am in the classroom and greeted by your children, I am reassured of that calling! So again, thank you so much!
I am so excited to meet each of you and get to know you throughout the year. After all, no one knows your children better than you. I am committed to providing the most effective and supportive learning experience for your children. I know that in order to do that, I will need your help!
An open communication line between myself and parents is the only way to ensure each child receives the quality education that they deserve. I can be contacted via email from 7:30am to 7pm on weekdays. I only ask for 24 hours to respond to these emails. Email can also be used to set up appointments to meet with me and discuss your child’s progress in the classroom. Feel free to email me any time.
